A Motivational Speaker in Your Back Pocket

September 7, 2020

I’ve learned a ton along the path of life, and continue to do so every day. I have a great passion for learning and I especially enjoy learning about positivity, spirituality, neuroscience, nature, resiliency, emotions, and quantum physics, to name just a few.

Over the last 48 years, I’ve overcome countless obstacles and losses, and thankfully, there have been many loving and supportive people who’ve helped me along the way.

In a way, each person who supported me was like my very own motivational speaker, right in my back pocket.

Someone who was there for me at a moment’s notice.

Someone who could see, and reflect back to me, my own wisdom and strengths.

Someone who knew just what to say, at just the right moment, so I would continue to persevere.

And now that I’m a Life Coach, I’m able to provide this same support and guidance for other people who are also navigating their life paths and overcoming their own challenges.

With 48 years of life experience, 30 of which I spent in various careers, you may be surprised to know the career I started in at the age of 18. Take a wild guess!

Can you believe I started out as an AT&T Long Distance Operator?? You probably didn’t think I was going to say that! Surprise!! :)

Suffice to say, I’ve worked in many industries over the last 30 years and gained a ton of business experience. Most recently, as a Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher working with adults and teens, and prior to that, I worked in Human Resources.

I’ve been able to overcome countless challenges and losses along the way. I’ve fallen down and gotten back up innumerable times. Some might even say I’ve succeeded in life, against all odds.

In looking back, I am proud of all the obstacles I’ve overcome, the many roads I’ve navigated, and how I’ve learned to heal my heart along the way and lead with love.

And now, as a Life Coach, I’m grateful and excited to share my life experience and wisdom with Womxn to help them find more joy and confidence in their lives as they learn to lead with love, too.

Here are some ways I’m helping Womxn navigate their life paths and persevere:

  1. Career Changes – changing careers can be really challenging, at any age. There’s a lot to consider, and balance, as you transition out of the existing one and into the new one. A life coach can help you navigate all of this so you know what to prioritize and how to manage it all with grace.

  2. Healthy Boundaries – social media and the news is bombarding us every minute with sensational information, and yet it doesn’t have to be such a firehose. You can set boundaries with these sources of sensory input, and with the toxic people and substances in your life as well, to regain a sense of autonomy and wellbeing. A life coach can help you remember what you want and that you are always at choice.

  3. Mindset Support – when you believe that you don’t have what it takes to accomplish your goals, or you think that you’re not good enough, as my business coach says (yep, that’s right, I have a coach, too!), it’s time to take out the mind trash. I love this way of looking at these self-defeating and limiting thoughts. They really are trashing up your mind, and preventing you from seeing the truth of who you are. A life coach can support you in seeing your full potential so that you can start seeing it, and believing it.

  4. Goal Setting & Focus – sometimes you need help to accomplish a goal, or maybe you’re stuck in a place and you’re not sure how to navigate your way out. A life coach can help you evaluate how you’re spending your time, find your focus and make progress toward your goals, and all in a way that utilizes your innate strengths and is aligned with your purpose.

  5. Stress-Reduction – if you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed on the daily, a life coach can help you learn how to reduce stressful events and circumstances, and build in self-care practices, so that you are able to approach each day with calm and clarity.

  6. Life Transitions – when you are in between life stages... such as going to college, transitioning into motherhood, re-defining your identity, grieving the loss of a loved one, or going through menopause... it can be hard to navigate these major changes. Having someone to support you through it all can be a real lifesaver.

Just like the expression, you can’t see the forest for the trees, a life coach can provide you with perspective, the ability to see the big picture, and help you discover how to forge ahead.

A life coach is someone who lifts you up and reminds you of how resilient and amazing you are, even when times are tough.

Because guess what? You ARE amazing!

Do you believe that?

If you don’t, and you want to start believing that in every moment of the day, and start living life through the lens of what you CAN do, I’m here to help you get there!

Baby steps is my method, all wrapped up with loving-kindness and compassion.

Nothing changes overnight... well, except during a pandemic, but even that has gradually inched us forward to where we are now.

So, join me.

I’ll help you to see your potential and your amazing strengths. I’ll help you take those baby steps, as you climb the stairway to fully embodying and expressing your whole, authentic self.

I’ve got you.

I’m also proud to be Queer and I’m committed to equality and antiracism. If you believe in supporting all gender identities and sexual orientations, and in fighting systemic racism, then let’s work together!
